SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

MAY 25, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Moser with Teri Eiermann, Bob Matson, Jeff Kaiser, Chuck Klamer, Rick Patrick, Clerk Nancy Baldwin, Solicitor Michele Stuck, Anthony Milicia, Timothy Christopher and other interested guests. (Karen Clyde absent.)

Moved by Patrick, seconded by Kaiser to suspend the rule that ordinances be fully and completely read on three different days and that Ordinance 2009-23 be placed on first reading and passed.

VOTE AYES—Unanimous

Moved by Matson, seconded by Eiermann to approve Ordinance 2009-23, An ordinance amending Section 139.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Garrettsville in order to include the rank of lieutenant in the Village of Garrettsville Police Department.

VOTE AYES—Unanimous

Moved by Eiermann, seconded by Klamer to suspend the rule that ordinances be fully and completely read on three different days and that Ordinance 2009-24 be placed on first reading and passed.

VOYTE AYES—Unanimous

Moved by Eiermann, seconded by Matson to approve Ordinance 2009-24, An ordinance fixing compensation of the Employees of the Village of Garrettsville, the Employees of the Board of Trustees of Public Affairs and Employees of the Board of Cemetery Trustees.

VOTE AYES—Unanimous

Moved by Kaiser, seconded by Eiermann to suspend the rule that ordinances be fully and completely read on three different days and that Ordinance 2009-25 be placed on first reading and passed.

Moved by Matson, seconded by Patrick to approve Ordinance 2009-25, An ordinance naming Anthony Milicia as Chief of Police of the Garrettsville Police Department effective June 1, 2009 and setting his compensation.

Moved by Matson, seconded by Klamer to suspend the rule that ordinances be fully and completely read on three different days and that Ordinance 2009-26 be placed on first reading and passed.

Moved by Kaiser, seconded by Klamer to approve Ordinance 2009-26, An ordinance naming Timothy Christopher as Lieutenant of the Village of Garrettsville Police Department effective June 1, 2009 and setting his compensation.
